I've ported the latest 2.0 version of the software to linux so it is now working for me. I need to update the UI because some of the buttons are cut off but once I'm done doing this I'll send @Chris Annin a copy of it so he can update the main repo. This is so exciting to have my robot finally working after 2+ years of working on it off and on. Thanks again @Chris Annin for creating this project and sharing all the info. (Should note that it works on a raspberry pi but I had to disable xbox controller support. I think that will need a bit of work possibly to work on the Pi.)

@Wampo Thanks for the tip on setting the baud. Were you able to use auto calibrate without it crashing? When I click the button the robot drives to all the limit switches and then stops but the button does not unstick. Program seems to freeze.

This is a great thread! Thanks for sharing all your build progress. I had to take a long break from mine because I didn't have a way to drill and tap the sprockets. I've since taking an intro to machining class and now have a much better appreciation for all the machining that goes into the metal builds.

@Chris Annin I ran into the same issue with my kit. I luckily just got a tap set though for doing the sprockets so it wasn't a big deal to tap. I had fun learning how to do it.

I printed the part out and it fit on the actuator. The actuator has different drill holes than the part it is supposed to mount to but I think this was due to me acquiring an incorrect sized actuator.

Thanks I got your email. I realized when reviewing your 3d print for it, it appears I got a smaller gripper part than you did. So I think I might need to either order a bigger one or build the part myself to match the one I have.

I haven't built enough of it to properly test that built but it does seem like when rotating it in my hands with the belt it isn't going to grip properly. As I rotate it seems to come out of alignment.

I don't have an air compressor yet but I went with the parallel gripper. I was debating getting one of those California Air quiet compressors but I'm not sure how much air I'll need for the gripper and don't want it to constantly be running if it uses a lot. I'm also really curious what other people are using for their air supply. I believe the instructions mention that we need to 3D print the gripper parts. You could probably add some rubber padding on top of the plastic.

Yeah something like that. It's difficult to find the forums so maybe a link would be helpful. Only way I was able to find them was by looking at posts by clicking on members profiles.
