Hello,
I'm in the process of a first attempt to create a 100% 3D printed robot arm. I was wondering if anybody was able to control this arm with a CNC board. like: Ultratronics. With this board, you can use smaller stepper drivers and maybe reduce some costs. The advantage might be that you can use code out of the box. Has anybody tried it? are there things that I have to know upfront?
Happer to hear from you,
Roy
Ultimately, the decision of whether to use a CNC board or a microcontroller for your robot arm depends on your specific needs and priorities. If you are on a tight budget and want to get started quickly, a CNC board could be a good option. However, if you need more flexibility and functionality, a microcontroller might be a better choice.
