Hopefully after spring cleaning I will make some progress in the summer. I have a lot of projects that creeped up and took priority over this.

I'll share these when I get my old computer back up. I am doing so massive office overhauling.

I could share the files if I still have them and Chris allows it. It's his work and just because I did a remix for myself doesn't mean I can distribute them ethically.

Had a piece of 2mm steel cut with a fiber laser and working on the track for my arm. I wanted to make it modular so I can set it on my desk, or mount it to a wall. I was going to go with linear rails, but this should work for now.

Nice work. I chose building and AR3 for the same reason. My next one will use DC brushless motors and an ODrive. This is definitely a good starting point though. It also has that cool aesthetic to it. I'm going to design my track last.

Okay, I think I have the redesign of the cable box done. Some new features. • May it a little deeper so I'm not cutting my hands off reaching inside it. • Change the center screw posts to a peg and socket so it will line itself up when you put the lid on the top. • New supports for the screws go all the way up Should make for a stronger case too. • Heat set inserts to put the spacer/subframe to the box. I'm going to make it where you can pull the cables out. Might be overdoing it.

I made some progress now that I got a dimensionally accurate 3D printer. I created the IO panel for low voltage and data. Since I'm using slightly different interfaces than Chris designed, I had to redesign the box myself. I made it a little taller and might make it a little deeper. I might use heatset inserts to bolt the rest of the J1 base to. I wish I had a waterjet after about 2-3 hours of manually . 😄

Here's an update on my build. I have been drowning in work and had done a really stupid thing that put my build on hold for awhile. I was drilling and tapping my mounting plate and dropped it on my bare foot, ended up putting a tally mark of stupidity on my foot that needed stitches. Always wear shoes, eye protection, and that other stuff that makes sense. Even when you're at home and the OSHA moms aren't there to yell at you. Anyways, I layed everything out in my box and mounted it with M4 and M5 screws. Everything is din mounted except the cable channel and the drivers. Hopefully I'll get a chance to wire it up soon, when work life isn't so hectic. I will also be printing up my parts once I get a printer running that isn't my delta with poor dimensional accuracy.

I actually just bought one of these as well as the Arduino din mount. Everything should be DIN mounted in my box except the stepper drivers maybe. I'll share pictures and videos when I get it done. Hopefully, it shouldn't take too long.

I'm more worried about assembly and disassembly durability. If you use inserts they will not loosen up over time.
