I have finally finished my AR2 build. I loaded the arduino sketch 2.0 and confirmed all limit switches operatonal. I could not run the exe to calibrate successfully on windows, I got a serial error for permissions on the com port that I could not resolve. I then tried to run the ar2.py on linux and got it to run. It takes my updated com port in the code (/dev/ttyUSB0) and then when I click the calibration button nothing happens. Is there a linux-approved fork of ar2.py that someone has worked out the kinks? I can't get any feedback from the ar2.py program; I assume it's trying to move the motors but isn't moving because something is wrong but I'm not sure what. Any ideas? Anyone run into this before? thanks!

I'm in the middle of my AR2 build, I have it mostly done but nothing hooked up yet. Control box is done, wiring harnesses done, mechanical assembly is 90% done. However the AR3 has a lot of features I want, is there an upgrade path or kit I can buy to change out whatever necessary to get to the AR3?

Quick curiosity question - I've been thinking about getting some carbon fiber reinforced filament and printing some stuff with it. Then I had the question - In theory a carbon fiber print would increase the payload of the AR2, right? Are the aluminum parts basically the same as the plastic but for the material, or were they restructured for the aluminum process? I'm not sure how to calculate/estimate by what amount the payload would increase.
