It sounds like you wired the switches to NC (normally closed) and com. Rewiring them to NO (normally open) should fix that. Maybe.

Hey Paul, Very cool tool changer. Have you seen the 7th axis? perhaps you can start with the robot ~1m away with enough space to home it, then move it close to the mill for a tool change, and then move it back. That way it isnt so close to any chips.

You mean the USB cables? They go to the computer running the ar4 program, you must select the corresponding com ports for the teensy and nano to make a connection to control the arm.

Check the mini dip switches on the J2 motor driver, run the encoder test program and make sure its working correctly

Would it be possible to have a Raspberry pi (or similar sbc) running in the electronics enclosure with the AR software running which could then be triggered by a button to execute commands?

I think you will have to do some formatting... If you look under the downloads page on this website and find 'AR4 Serial command examples' it shows some of the conversions from command line to serial commands. I've never played around with anything like that so let us know if you figure it out!

Click 'Home J1' then use 'get last command' - I'm away from my main PC but they are called something similar That should show the command line to home just one axis.

Check your USB cable can send data + power. A lot of cheap cables are only for power (like charging a phone).

Hi orcun, You can simply jog the j7 axis and teach new position. Then when you play the program it will move.
