Is it possible to teach a position with a switch (AR4) if so how do I do that (il have a switch on the end of a probe more than likely) so the robot can learn where the face or edge of material is.

Is there any progress towards mobile control or with a touch screen running off a raspberry pi?

Il explain a little then get to my question the sheets of steel I work with are 4ftx8ft in size once I have fabricated my plasma cutter onto the end if I wanted to say cut 100mm strip across the 4ft length of the steel can I use the sliding table that the arm would be mounted on to make it possible for the arm to reach from one end of the steel to the other?

after many years of wanting to get one of these since the very first arm was made public i have ordered the complete kit 3 days ago currently awaiting arrival of all the parts I will be posting my project Updates here as and when In the mean time while i am waiting till next week i have pulled the 3D Printer out of storage where its been sat unused for the past two years and have started printing all the spacers and cosmetic bits. (Not many left to-be printed i will upload a photo later on ;) ) the plan for use of this arm will be to utilize my plasma cutter at work to make repetitive cuts to certain sizes of sheet steel, this is because i run my own business welding and fabricating on rotten cars/vans etc.. if all gose well this should speed up the fabricating side when making repair panels Will be sat up all night watching this 10 hour and 30 minute print The joys!!
