Hi,

I'm wondering if anybody has had to change the lead screw on the J5 stepper motor?

The reason I ask is that the lead screw is 8.10 to 8.14 mm accross the whole lenght. As Chris has mentionned in the manual, it has happenned that the lead screw can be flared at the end and in can be corrected by filling the diameter down. In my case I will have a lot of filling to do. I have an extra 8mm lead screw laying around and the 688z bearing fits on it perfectly.

I have 2 options, do a replacement if its easy or go the filling route.

I though I would ask before proceeding and screw things up (pun intended) :)
