    J3 Spindle issue Solved

    Hello everyone from Slovakia,

my name is Taniq and I am building AR3 model. I have a small issue.

While inserting the J3 spindle into the J2 Arm, the washers of the bearing are sliding between the arm and the spindle. I had some problems to find the proper size, since most of the dimensions in the plan are USA. However I found proper one that match so far so good.

The four tiny screws that keep the spindle are set to a position enabling enough so that I can have smooth rotation. But in this case the second top washer starts to slide.

Please if anyone overcome this issue I will appreciate any advice. Pictures below.

    Thanks in advance,

Hello, what bearings are you using and where did you source them? I can tell you the intended bearings trade number is AXK3552/AS3552 which are overall 4mm thick when assembled.

OK, let me know. the bottom 2 pictures you show look correct but I have a hard time telling in the top picture what the issue is or why the washer appears to not be in place.

Hello Chris, I measured it's 3.95. So I found a tip and trick. I put the whole arm on a side and than while keeping the spindle I screw it and it worked. Thank u so much. I will continue work :) Below some pictures from process.
