Are those M3x10 flat head screws? They appear longer.  Is it possible I made an error in the hardware kit?  Please let me know as soon as possible so I can correct any mistakes.

yes M3x10 (10mm overall, about 8mm of thread). I am wondering if hole is not threaded deep enough. Wont have access to metric tap till next week to test.

Thats the correct screw. I will review with the vendor and check the next batch.  I fully test assembled one unit but didnt see this. Please let me know what else you find.  I appreciate you keeping me updated on any issues and I will make sure to make corrections.

M3 0.5 tap, lots of plastic wrap to protect bearings.

    Fixed!

Used wire in the blind hole to measure depth then added tape on the tap.

    Side:

Chris when you are here. I would recommend you drill and tap the 13 tooth sprocket and bump the kit price a few dollars. I would guess many people in the next 40 kits would have to order a metric tap set.

thank you for the pictures and feedback on the tapped holes. Good advice on the sprockets - I'll see if I can find pre-tapped sprockets. Right now that was the lowest cost option that I was able to find but I will keep looking. thanks again.

Hi, got my kit a couple days ago and have started assembly & I was just about to put up a post on the sprockets. My motors have inserts but the sprockets/gears aren't keyed so they don't slide down the shaft. Am I missing something?

The build quality is nice. Looking forward to getting back at it tomorrow.

@paul the sprockets are low cost blanks, its possible to broach them but I just removed the keys from the motor shafts and drilled and tapped the sprockets for set screws.

@paul I’m also still looking for pre tapped sprockets that are affordale for everyone.

Hi Chris and Ari, I have a question about the Installation of the square head M8 screw into J1 turret platform. The hole has no thread, shall I tab it? I think so but before doing something irreversible I wanted to ask :-) ... Please tell me what is right to do, thanks

Yes. I’ve had one other person report the treads were missed. I’ve contacted the vendor to make sure this doesn’t get missed in the future. I apologize for this being missed.

Hi Chris thanks for the indication, it is not a problem, I'll tap it M8

@Chris Annin I ran into the same issue with my kit. I luckily just got a tap set though for doing the sprockets so it wasn't a big deal to tap. I had fun learning how to do it.
