    Suppliers in Australia?

    in General Discussion

    Hi all,

Are there any Aussies here who can recommend alternative suppliers for some of the McMaster parts and nuts and bolts? I was thinking of just ordering a parts pack but the USD to AUD currency situation makes it exxy.

Chris or anyone who's sourced them, what was your total bill for the metric screws?

    Cheers

    -Joseph

P.S. Huge thanks to Chris for your efforts. Chris if you read this, have you thought about how you'd go about a 1.5x or 2x sized AR robot? I wonder what the costs would be, and whether steppers would still be the go.

    Hi Joeseph,

Take a look at AliExpress for ordering bolts. A lot cheaper and great selection and decent quality.

If you want them fast but still at a decent price, https://www.thefastenerfactory.com.au/ is a good choice.

Let me know if your in Melbourne.

try https://nutandboltshop.com.au/ They have most of what you want including the set screws. Nothing's cheap though. This is a high cost country

I’m based in Qld and I would be interested in building one 1.5 to 2 times bigger. What’s your thoughts Chris?
