At my home on August 14.
Because the customs have estimated that the value of the package was 400 euros, I unfortunately had to pay 105.45 euros extra import duties.
(Chris, perhaps indicate that the value of the metal parts is only $ 75 for subsequent shipments ?

)
Im sorry about the import duties I hadnt realized this would be an issue. I will put the value of raw pieces next time to keep this down.
Hello
I'm also looking to complete an AR2 in Amsterdam. I got the bearings and stepper online packages just fine, but the other parts are proving a little harder to find. I think most of the electrical stuff I'll be able to find on Ali Express, but the metal bits from McMaster Carr are harder to find. Does anyone know an equivalent of McMaster Carr that ships to Europe? If you have tips for finding the electrical gear over here that's welcome too! Thanks
David
p.s. Harry - how did your build work out?
Hi David,
I did not find a good equivalent for Mc Master in the Netherlands.
All mechanical parts are mounted, I have some delay with soldering of the electrical cables.

Hi guys!
I'm from Belgium (next to the Netherlands) and also looking to build the AR2. But the problem are indeed the import duties, taxes and somewhat the shipping of the items. Anybody found some good resources in Europe already? That would be a huge cost saving I guess.
Hi guys,
I’m looking to get the hardware components kit delivered to London (UK). For those in Europe who got it delivered to them, how much did you have to pay in custom duties?
Thanks!
Hi there, for Slovakia cost me a total of 200 $... But here is the thing that if the item that you've purchased is more than 100 $ you have to pay tax. So one thing you can try negotiating with Chris is to send u a separate bill of 100 $ and the rest of the money to pay separately. In this case, the custom will charge u much less.
